Our Mission: The Bravery Alliance exists to ensure the dignity and care of the brave patients who present to the Emergency Department for treatment after experiencing sexual violence by providing items of comfort and care that will address physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Our Team:
Director: Bianca BSN, RN, SANE-ABianca has been a nurse since 2017 and currently works as in ER forensic nurse in the state of New Hampshire. She was inspired to pursue forensic nursing after witnessing first-hand the gaps in care that occur for patients who have suffered violence. Bianca is passionate about trauma-informed care and she tries to continually foster a spirit of service towards her patients and their families. Bianca is currently pursing her MSN in forensic nursing. In her spare time she enjoys golfing with her husband, baking treats to share with friends, and sipping on a cold whiskey.

Treasurer: KimKim first gained interest in creating a program like The Bravery Alliance while living in Albany, New York. She was acquainted with some of the nurses at AMC who dedicated themselves to bettering their SANE program and greatly improving patient advocacy. Realizing that the need for sexual assault patient advocacy, comfort, and support transcends geographic boundaries, Kim is hopeful that The Bravery Alliance will be a welcomed program in the Capital Region.
A former teacher turned full-time mom of three, Kim spends her days trying just to keep up with the chaos. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, crafting, and running. She looks forward to being part of the success of The Bravery Alliance. |
Secretary: MeaganMeghan is the secretary for the Bravery Alliance and is so excited to be working with such a great board of professionals. She would like to thank Bianca and Kim for inviting her to do this important work. Meghan enjoys teaching music to littles and is a mom to two super kids! She loves skiing and mountain biking as well as spending time on the ocean with her family.

Grants & Fundraising: Chelsea RT(R)Chelsea is an ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist and has worked in diagnostic imaging since 2012. Her strength is in pediatric, trauma, and operating room procedures. Also a level 2 Reiki Practitioner and an empath, Chelsea is passionate about offering hope and emotional support to those suffering in an overburdened healthcare system.
Chelsea, her husband, and their three sons are nature enthusiasts and spend their free time hiking, camping, exploring, gardening and reading. |
